Honored Program

It is important to the north state because it's the future of our generation. This article shows us many facts about the people who live in the north state and who eventually go to college. It also shows how successful the Redding college OPTIONS is. This article might also be an inspiration to other people who might realize that there are other people to held them even if they don't think they actually have a chance to go to college.

College OPTIONS is really helpful to students who have no idea what they are doing. Most people don't understand how many applications they have to fill out, how expensive applications can actually be, all the tests, looking for scholarships, or what to do to be eligible to play sports in college. But with college OPTIONS they help out a lot, and of course the counselors are always there to help.

In Shasta county 18.8% of the people have a bachalors degree, compared to 29.5% of the state. If that number is truly accurate that is a very low number. The number of people who go to colleg is only 11.9% which to me seems very low. Of those kids that go to college how many actually come back? Maybe the kids that go off to college never come back to live here and the ones that actually stay dont go to college and the get other jobs. Shasta county just has a ridiculously low amount of people with degrees and i dont see that getting better if only 11.9% are going to college.

I believe a big reason there is such a difference in Shasta County is the fact that people probably go into a family owned business or ranch. People are not required to go to college to have jobs like these so that would have to decrease the pecentage. As I stated earlier how many people are coming back after college? There really aren't that many jobs around here that require a college degree so maybe these college graduates are heading off to cities or other places for work related reasons.
