What does Beowulf learn from his battles with Grendel and Grendel's mother?




Beowulf was already a very worthy man and had already proven himself to the Geats. From the battle with Grendel and his mom he learned more about leading armies which would later help him as he becomes the king. The battles make him more mature as he learns to better cope with the responsibilities of being a hero.
